In-Person at The Lucy Simms Center Auditorium in Harrisonburg, or online via YouTube.

The purpose of this event is to bring people together to learn about opportunities to get involved in local civic/community organizations in Harrisonburg and The Valley. We will be joined by a panel of community leaders to discuss the importance of civic engagement and how to get involved in the community. Additionally, we will discuss how civic engagement efforts can be reinforced by voting, while also discussing how voting can also help support the efforts of our community/civic organizations. This free event will have food and exciting raffle prizes!

Join us for a talk by guest speaker Chris Piper, former Commissioner of Virginia Department of Elections and Chief Operating Officer of The Elections Group. Chris will discuss threats to trust in elections, voting inconsistencies, and ways to improve elections/outreach for better turnout. Raffle drawings with exciting prizes, including a $100 Amazon.com gift card, will be held during the presentation.
